Meet Dale

Dale Talks about Himself
Of all the amazing things my parents gave me growing up, the most valuable was an unshakable belief in myself. My mother and father always believed in me, which led to my strong conviction that I could do whatever I set my mind to. I have always been grateful to them for that gift and I very much want to share it with my children. I am very close to both of my parents.

I attended a small private high school in Berkeley with 100 students. It was a wonderful close-knit community where we were all excited about learning. Academics were very serious, but we also spent a lot of time outdoors (I was very active in the bicycling club!). I am now the board president of the high school, so I have kept in close contact with this community over the years.

I work hard, but I also make plenty of time for play, family, vacation, and friends. I seem to have a knack for getting into lots of hobbies. I enjoy painting, and many of my paintings are displayed around our house. I play volleyball, golf, racquetball, lawn bowling, ultimate Frisbee, and I also love hiking and bicycling. I care about people deeply and have many close long time friendships from every stage of my life, including my best friend (Bryan) who I met in first grade and who lives 10 minutes from our house.

Michaela Talks About Dale
I feel so lucky to have Dale for my partner. He is fiercely protective of me—I know he always has my back and would do anything to support me in any way I need. I feel completely safe and loved by him and I know our child will feel the same way. He is loving, patient, persistent, funny, smart, confident, energetic, silly and creative. He loves to teach others and share his knowledge. Dale is very adventurous and will jump right in and try new things and I admire this about him.
